Institut National de la Consommation

The Institut National de la Consommation (INC) is a national public organisation which carries out its missions of informing and educating the public in partnership with other public or semi-public organisations.

It works to bring about changes in legislation on consumer protection and also contributes to improve the quality and security of products and services on the market.


INC called on Thinkovery’s expertise to build their first on-line training course for the general public. Available since 18th October 2018, just after the law enforcing the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation came into effect, it aimed to make the public aware of the issues around the use of their personal data:

  • identifying the dangers related to these data
  • buying safely online
  • assessing the importance of personal data held by companies

Our solution

We supported INC during the various phases of this large, ambitious project by designing the learning content in close collaboration with their teams, developing the scenarios and storyboards, filming, enriching, using motion-design, etc. We had regular meetings with them throughout.


The resulting MOOC was a great success: over 7,500 people enrolled, of whom 16% completed the course. And the project received the MOOC of the Year prize in the ‘Best MOOC designed by an organisation’ category.

For the project, online since September 2018, the pedagogical approach and high-class production enabled Thinkovery to work on the project, as Vanessa Madi points out: “After consulting several firms, INC decided to entrust Thinkovery with our project, because they are used to working with public bodies and had already created training courses for the public sector.”
